Pevensey Green Grey Double Face Panel Tweed

Pevensey Green Grey Double Face Panel Tweed

A high quality very unusual completely reversible British tweed wool. One side has two wide stripe panels which blend subtly into each other. One panel has red wine hues and the other is slightly more purpleish. Each panel is approx 52cm wide. The other side has two panels in a traditional British tweed weave. The tweed panels blend in very subtly (almost unnoticeably). Composition is 100% wool. One side has a cut edge without a finished selvedge.

Age: Estimated to be post 2000s.

Composition: 100% wool. It looks like the 2 sides are bonded. It is not really bulky perfectly ideal for outerwear probably too thick for trousers and skirts.

Main Colours: Sand beige, shades of Bordeaux reds and a hint of purple, greens & slate blue. The photos capture pretty well the colours.

Drape: The cloth is mid to heavy weight. It has a bit of structure but is not by any means rigid.

Condition: Perfect as ‘New’. Unused condition. Both selvedges in tact.

Missy Mop says: This is a really special cloth, one side looking very traditional and the other although still quite classic a bit more contemporary. It would be very special if both sides can be used for reversible garment.

Price is per half metre to order 0.5m order ‘1’ to order 1 metre order ‘2’. All additional metres will be cut in a continuous run.
