Vintage Yellow Stripe Towelling Terry Cloth Cotton

True vintage. 100% cotton light to mid weight towelling. Suitable for beachwear and accessories, tops & dresses. Approx width 140cm, sold by the HALF metre (50cm).
Age: Estimated to be 1970s.
Composition: Estimated to be cotton, short pile. terry cloth/towelling. 
Upon touch it feels like it might have polyester in it. A burn test is inconclusive, but definitely a high % of cotton. It may feel like it has polyester because it still has the original fabric sizing (stiffener) and this gives it a slightly different feel.
Main Colours: Yellow, orange & white.  
Drape: The fabric is lightweight and floaty with lots of drape.
Condition: Very good unused vintage condition, nothing obvious to mention.

Most vintage pieces of towelling you find are often reclaimed from towels or curtains and full of pulls. This one despite its age appears to be perfect. Vintage towelling is thinner than modern terry towelling. Ideal for beachwear and accessories.
